Is anyone using the Harmony XL by Alma for tattoo removal and if so what are your results? Any negatives to the machine?

yes we use the KTP 532nm + Q-switch 1064nm from Alma. I am not sure, whether the fiberoptic was damaged, but it did not deliver the fantastic end points even when we used its hightest energy setting. we had it replaced, which we waited for more than a month to get from US to Australia. Now, I am not sure if the head has been upgraded, but I suspect it has been, because all the tattoo which had 7-10 treatment (and using highest settings with little or no blanching), began to blanch in the white/greyish way on the LOWEST setting. I am happy the machine is back. We are on the ball again. HOWEVER, I dont find ALMA very helpful. They could have lent us a head whilst we were getting a new one ordered. Or atleast give us more helpful backup and advise when we need them most. Fingers crossed that this time it will last.

Is there really anything that ANY Alma machine does well? Seriously? I would like to know.

I have not used the Alma Qswitch so cant give an informed assessment of its efficacy but I do own a Harmony and two diode hair reduction lasers and enjoy the results I get with them. However I honestly believe that value, support and clinical outcomes you cannot beat the Laseroptek Helios system. Its Korean but their retail arm used to sell 1 in 4 of every Alma product sold. I will let you guess if they made laser products for a certain nameless US laser manufacturer.
