Physician Clinical Exchange > Post Fractional Ablative Laser Treatment Protocols

What do you prescribe after Ablative Laser Treatments? This is what we have heard about recently.

Copper Peptide Technology: Procyte
Topical Vit C
TNS-SkinMedica
Remergent DNA Repair Formula
Biofine
Neocutis Bio-restorative Skin Cream
Neocutis PSP cream
Epidermal Growth Factors

Nice article in a recent "Skin & Aging Magazine"

So, what is all this junk. Does any of it really work? What do you use? What do you know about this stuff. It is kind of expensive, but if it really helps stimulate collagen after a laser procedure, it may be worth it. Let's discuss.

A Taiwan doc. showed photo collections regarding post-TotalFX wound care and a case 5 months follow-up. Just using duoderm coverage for the wound care. The result looks awesome.

I would actually love to hear more about tissue growth factors. I am pretty simplistic with my patients. After the aquaphor and vinegar soaks for the first 4-5 days, then they go back to a physical sunblock.

We do use Biafine for patients who have had skin burns so I don't know why we wouldn't apply it to post ablative.

At 1 month I start them on a retinoid at night and Vitamin C serum in the morning. We are part of a hospital, so we don't sell products, however, I do like the Skinceuticals Vitamin C, so I send them to a clinic that has it or online.

But I haven't reviewed enough info on growth factors to justify the cost to patients, however, I have heard wonderful anecdotal information from fellow physicians.
