Sciton: Joule & BBL > Thought on Halo

Does anyone here have any experience with the new Halo modality? We sprung for the joule and have been thrilled with it. No complaints. Head and shoulders above any other technology I've used.

We invested in Solta's clear & brilliant when in first came out ($35,000) and even with the $100 per use disposable paid it off by 4 months because it was so popular. So we were thrilled to hear about the Halo treatment which would allow us to do everything that clear and brilliant could do and more (I assumed without the disposable).

I was very disappointed to find out that this is the first addition to the joule that will require a consumable! It is half the price of the Solta tip, but prior to this every sciton rep I've met has talked about how they are more practice-friendly because they don't have tips.

If anyone has any experience with Halo, I would live to hear about it. Specifically:

1. Are the tips really needed? (I've been told it's to prevent cross-contamination, but we do very deep resurfacing and process the hand pieces with no issues). Is this just a departure from their prior commitment to keepin costs down?
2. What do you think of the treatment?
3. If you have any experience with clear and brilliant, how does it compare?

SkepticalRN, did you get the halo? if so, what you think?
