Solta: Thermage & Fraxel > Thermage and facial implants

Can a patient with softform (gore-tex) facial implants be safely treated with Thermage? The implants are located in the nasolabial folds.

I would skip the area previous treated with fillers when doing thermage or sciton skin tyte procedures. My understanding is that heat tends to accelerate any chemical reactions in the body which include the breaking down of filler materials by macrophages. Goretex facial implants on the otherhand is considered a semi-permanent to permanent filler. It is typically used for rhinoplasty (augmentation) and is pretty much heat stable. I have never seen Gore tex used in the nasolabial fold. The other semi permeable filler we use is Aquamid (poly acrilamide from denmark marketed by contura aesthetics). I skip areas filled by aquamid as well because I don't see clinical result of Aquamid lasting up to 5 years as claimed by the aquamid sales reps.
