I saw Dr. Roy Geronemus for consult last week and I am a Female South Asian with Fitzpatrick III skin type- olive skin, light South Asian, but I easily tan and can scar with dark pigment. I have a small surgical scar and he recommended Fraxel Re:pair for the spot and he had no concerns about treating any hyperpigmentation that resulted from the procedure. He did mention that I would need more than one treatment. He actually referred me to his most recent study where he treated surgical scars with re:pair. Anyone advice here? Dr. Geronemus seemed not at all concerned, which made me concerned!
