Syneron: elos, eLight, eMax, & LipoLite > Should I buy Elos Plus or Alma Harmony?

We are considering adding a first laser or device to our busy plastic surgery practice. The objective is to provide resurfacing, pigment and tightening.

The two devices we have shortlisted:

1) Syneron/Candela Elos Plus which has
a. Sublative for wrinkles and texture
b. Sublime for facial contours and
c. SR/SRA for IPL/RF Plus and

2) Alma Harmony with
a. ipixel, Pixe & YAG 2940 for wrinkles and resurfacing
b. NIR ST for tissue tightening
c. AFT 540 and AFT 570 for IPL

I would be very grateful for some unbiased advise and here are my questions

1) I am very skeptical of tissue tightening claims - have any of you experienced success with either the Elos Plus sublime or the Alma NIR ST? Can you actually achieve perceptible tightening? Is one better than the other for tightening?

2) the RF technology used by Elos plus seems interesting but I'm having a hard time understanding how the resurfacing abilities of this device compare to that of the Alma Ipixel - if resurfacing is a top priority in our practice, which of the devices I have shortlisted would be the best?

3) can anyone comment on the customer service and after care provided by Syneron/Candella Vs Alma?

4) if you had any advice for a newbie like me getting into laser, what would it be? we are a very successful plastic surgery practice and need to maintain a premium image. our objective is to provide a wider range of facial rejuvenation services to patients who are already seeing us for blephs, facelifts etc. any advice at all when it comes to how I should select or implement a laser strategy would be so appreciate.

5) my philosophy is to provide treatments that really work. surgery really works. can i really provide short downtime treatments such as the alma or elos plus and confidently sell these treatments to my patients. can we really resurface the skin to the point that there is a perceptible difference? can i really offer these services with confidence?

6) have any of you been financially successful offering similar treatments to the ones I am considering? what did it take for you to be successful and earn a profit?

many thanks
